Heading: “Cameras are like hammers.. It just depends what you’re trying to nail”
One of the things I enjoy most about beginning of the photographic journey is turning a straightforward brief into an artistic, insightful image. I can work solo, but when I work collaboratively with the subject with a vivid conceptual approach, I can get into the subjects headspace to help them feel instantly comfortable in front of the camera.
Over many years I’m grateful to have photographed the who's who of Australian music artists and icons. These include Sarah Blasko, Missy Higgins, Dan Sultan, The Presets, Flume, Dustin Tebbutt, Crowded House, Jimmy Barnes, Katie Noonan, Clare Bowditch, Spiderbait and many more (you know who you are).
It was a natural progression, years ago to start shooting motion. I have conceptualised, filmed and directed music videos for the likes of The XX, Mojo Ju Ju, Haitus Kaiyote, Sarah Blasko, Jack Ladder, Goyte, Spender, Ella Hooper, Emma Donnavon and Jane Tyrrell.
I currently reside in Melbourne where I have my own studio, but can also travel for work.
